MAVERICK

Ughhhh this looks so much better in real life. Damn camera and lack of scanner that is big enough to fit this thing in there.

I'm really disappointed that I couldn't get this up sooner. But yeah, did this for art class.

Another one of those art projects where we were supposed to copy something, but I was like "fuckthatlol" and did my own thing.

I had been wanting to do a caricature of Sarah Palin since I saw the vice presidential debate, so I finally did one. c:

I didn't like Palin. I'm sure she's a perfectly nice woman, but she came off as a total ditz in that debate. I had high expectations when I heard that she was an amazing debater, and she really let me down hard. Boo. I was really hoping for some amazing stuff that would blow my mind (as I am taking debate class) and was severely disappointed when she kept going on about being one of the original mavericks and mispronounced "nuclear" and gave a shout out to the little third graders. I'm sure some found all that charming, but it wasn't. It was ditzy and inappropriate. *sigh*

Needless to say, I am very glad that she is not our vice president.

But enough ranting about Palin, all of that is over and behind us! No use beating a dead horse, but I just had to get out my rant too, dagnabbit! *shakesfist*

Ummm.

This is splotchy in places (like on her nice jacket thing you'll notice especially) because we had to have a layer of turpentine on the bottom... which by the way, smelled absolutely terrible. Ugh. I never want to smell that again in my life. It cleared my sinuses. Completely. Singed every nose hair. Probably burned off a few layers in my throat and lungs also. Geeze. That stuff was horrible.
