They were five days old today. We thought the door was closed, but our house is 100 years old and sometimes the doors don't latch properly, so my dog Oscar pushed his way in the room.

When I found them they were all disemboweled and Clover was terrified. I couldn't stop screaming, and I was home alone.

They hadn't even opened their eyes yet. They didn't stand a chance.
